Draupadi Murmu Early Life
Draupadi Murmu was born on June 20, 1958, in the Mayurbhanj area of Orissa State, India, to a tribal family. She also received the Neelkanth Award for best legislator in 2007.
Due to her dedication and hard work, she has been selected by the NDA (National Democratic Alliance) as a candidate in the 15th presidential election in India.
Draupadi Murmu Education
She started her education journey at a school in her native place, where she completed her elementary education.
After that, she went to Bhubaneswar to study for her graduation, where she got admission to Rama Devi Women's College and completed her degree course.
In 1979, she joined the Odisha government's electricity department as a junior assistant, worked there for three and a half years, and left the job in 1983.
In 1994 she began working as a teacher at the Aurobindo Integral Education Center in Rairangpur, where she remained until 1997.

Draupadi Murmu got the opportunity to handle the
Department of Transport and Commerce. And she was the Minister of State with
independent charge in the Orissa Government from 2000 to 2004.
She also
handled the Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Department as the Minister of State
for the Government of Orissa from 2002 to 2004.
She was also a
member of the National Executive of the Scheduled Caste Morcha of the Bharatiya
Janata Party from 2002 to 2009.
She held the
post of State President of ST Morcha of the Bharatiya Janata Party from the
year 2006 to the year 2009.
Along with the
ST Morcha, She was also a member of the National Executive of the Bharatiya Janata
Party from the year 2013 to the year 2015.
She received the post of Governor of Jharkhand in the year 2015 and remained in the post till the year 2021.
She is the first woman governor to complete a five-year term after the formation of Jharkhand state.

It was in the year 1997 when she was elected as a District Councilor for the first time from the Rairangpur district of Odisha, as well as became the Vice President of Rairangpur.
Apart from this, she also got a chance to become the President of Mayurbhanj District BJP from the year 2002 to the year 2009.
In the year 2004, she also managed to become an MLA from Rairangpur Vidhan Sabha, and moving forward, in the year 2015, she also got a chance to handle the post of Governor of a tribal-dominated state like Jharkhand.
