The Atal Amrit Abhiyan is a health insurance scheme launched by the Assam State Government on December 25th, 2016. It is an initiative taken by the government to improve the welfare of the people of Assam.
The scheme provides health insurance coverage of up to Rs. 2 lakh per year to each family in Assam state.

Atal Amrit Abhiyan Card Details
The aim of the Atal Amrit Abhiyan scheme is to support BPL and APL families besieged with chronic, sudden, or acute health issues.
It is a cashless healthcare scheme for the citizens of Assam. Under the Atal Amrit Abhiyan scheme, the government provides health insurance coverage of up to Rs. 2 lakh per year to each family in Assam state.
People with an annual income of less than Rs 5 lakh are eligible for this scheme.

Who can apply for AAA Scheme?

Documents required to apply for Amrit Abhiyan Health scheme
To enroll the AAA health scheme, you need to provide the following documents:
- EPIC (Voter ID) card for each family member
- Birth certificate for minor members of the family
- Members of APL families must additionally present their Income certificate and Rs. 100/- per beneficiary as premium.
- The National Food Security Act (NFSA) card may be produced as an additional document.
How to enroll Amrit Abhiyan Health scheme?
The following steps are the ways to enroll in the AAA health scheme.
- Visit the enrolment centre; all beneficiaries must be physically present at the enrollment centre.
- The Verifying Officer scrutinizes all documents and verifies eligibility - APL beneficiaries receive a uniquely numbered challan for depositing the premium into the designated bank account.
- After verification (and payment of challan when applicable), the Operator takes a photograph of and also capture the finger prints of each beneficiary.
- The operator issues the unique AAA ID card along with the scheme handout to beneficiaries.
